Love the guide

Ive been using the app for years but only now opted to subscribe to the guide for a year. I simply love it and should have subscribed sooner.

Worked as advertised

Schedule was in sync, all functionality worked. Hopefully I will be as to use in more hotels.

Bait and Switch

They dont tell you until you start using the app that you have to pay for the guide. Why would I pay for the guy when I can use a TV Guide app for free? The guide should be free since Im already paying for this g-d room.

Way better than flipping channels

This app works quite well, especially if you are willing to part with 99 cents for the channel guide. Lets face it: flipping channels in a hotel room is annoying. This makes finding something to watch far less painful. My only complaint is that it only runs in portrait orientation. I would give the app five stars if it would rotate the display to landscape orientation when the device is turned that way.

Great App - Easy to Navigate

I travel often and this app has helped bring another comfort to my home away from home.

Excellent!!!

I love this app. I have used it for over a year and it works flawlessly on any hotel with Stay Connect. I am also germ conscious so not having to use the hotels remote is a huge plus and this app works better than most hotel remotes. Dislikes: only dislike about this app is it needs a " previous channel button"

The TV Guide Is Completely Wrong

I paid $.99 for the TV Guide and its not even accurate.

$.99 for a TV guide?

Why is that an IAP? Didnt this just used to be a free channel I could watch?

Kind of dumb since you dont get anything above and beyond the remote already provided by the property.

Much better than standard remote!

The interface that some hotels use on their tv is frustrating at best. With this app, controlling the tv is easy and intuitive. I dont have any suggestions for improving this app, other than keeping it the same.

Dont Pay

Programming for 1.00 is the same as the app on the hotel property. Totally ripped off.

Made my Sheraton stay complete

Im always iffy on using the standard hotel remote as it is considered one of the least cleaned, most used thing in a room and is a spreading ground for germs. I dont like the fact I had to play with the room remote to setup the connection but at least it was only a 5m ordeal which was for the most part painless.

GUI was great, now less than mediocre

Product works, always has. Old interface with black background was perfect, easy to see in all lighting conditions, just like the advertisement here shows. Now the station icons are hard to read, and the blinding white background makes it necessary to squint when trying to see the programming. I gave it a three because it now only takes only one click to select a channel. Otherwise Id have given it two.

Getting worse

Downgraded this app from a 2 to 1 star rating. I havent used this app for quite a long time due its past limitations, most notably the fact that the program times were off by one or two hours. Today, at the Hilton OHare, I tried again, repurchasing the .99 annual fee for guide service. Now the channels on the app dont coincide with whats selected making this app utterly useless. I select NBC and get ESPN, select ESPN and get HBO etc. The idea for this app is good. Unfortunately the implementation is aweful.

Doesnt work

Of the three days Ive had this app it has only worked for the first day. The last two days it just swirls and never loads.

Worthless

They must have a new vendor for their app. The program guide that I subscribed to never loads. It only shows basic on/off and volume controls. Some hotels it won’t work at all. A certain Hampton Inn displays the function on the TV when you first turn it on, but when the code is input to my phone or iPad it returns an error. I called StayConnect/LodgeNet and they supposedly put a job ticket on the hotel, but I’ve been there several times and it has never worked their. I’m not at all impressed with the help desk. Little to no help whenever I’ve called

What happened?

Ever since the July 2015 update, I get "cannot connect" errors

Seriously. The app only works the first time you open it. They didnt send it through QA at all. Complete joke and waste of time.
